Manual Update 2008
This is the fourth update of the AMSANT Administration Manual.
The most relevant contextual change relates to the updating the Aboriginal Health section to include recent changes such as the Commonwealth NT Intervention. With the election of a new Commonwealth Government further changes are expected.
Two new sections have been added - one on information management and communications and the other on accreditation matters. Both these sections will require significant updates in the near future.
A further major update is intended to take account of changes in legislation (workplace relations and Aboriginal organisation incorporation Acts). Since the election of the new Commonwealth Labor Government some changes in these areas are expected. The site will be updated to incorporate any changes when such changes become clear. In the meantime, we advise services to take care that any changes they are making are consistent with new legislative requirements - see links in relevant sections.
