This manual has just had its fifth update.
Information in all the sections has been
updated. The most changes have occured in the proformas with the addition of
new ones being added in most sections.
As part of this update we carried out a
survey of member services using the manual. We are pleased to report that it is
being well used. There were requests for further information around
accreditation. it is planned to further update that section in the new year.
This is the fourth update of the AMSANT
Administration Manual.
The most relevant contexual change relates
to the updating the Aboriginal Health section to include recent changes such as
the Commonwealth NT Intervention. With the election of a new Commonwealth
Government further changes are expected. Two new sections hae been added - one
on information management and communications and the other on accreditation
matters. Both these sectios will require significant updates in the near
future.
A further major update is intended to take
account of changes in legislation (workplace relations and Aboriginal
organisation incorporation Acts). Since the election of the new Commonwealth
Labor Government some changes in these areas are expected. The site will be
updated to incorporate any changes when such changes become clear. In the
meantime, we advise services to take care that any changes they are making are
consistent with new legislative requirements - see links in relevant sections.
Pleasse let us know of any other areas you
think should be included, problems with the site and any other feedback you
have that can make this site more useful to you.
